What is The Pineapple Porch?

Posted on July 1, 2017
The Pineapple Porch (previously The Front Porch or TFP) is a lifestyle blog with the goal of fostering community and encouragement for the every day lady…and we are so glad you found us! Here at TFP you will find posts all across the spectrum including devotionals, book and music recommendations, real-talk journal entries, prayer focuses, recipes, special guest features, fitness focuses, home decor inspiration, hospitality tips, DIY’s and more. We want to share all of these things because we believe that every single area of our lives — our jobs, our families, our friends, our locations and even our hobbies —  can be used to show others Jesus and bring glory to His name.
So whoever you are or whatever your background, you are welcome here with us. We want The Pineapple Porch to serve as a community to you so please feel free to drop us a note in the comment section of any of our posts or send us an email simply to say hi! (And if you want to dig a little deeper, take a peek below at the “why” behind all our posts below!)

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

We were made for community:

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Wherever you are in the world, as a child of God, you have a community of sisters cheering for you as you live out your specific calling to glorify Jesus every single day.

Worship is the obedient lifestyle of the child of God:

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

Whether your agenda consists of washing dishes, presenting a proposal at work, changing diapers, speaking at a conference or pursuing your major, every single thing you do is an opportunity to respond in praise to our Savior. The Pineapple Porch ultimately exists for Jesus and the building up of His church!
