The Pineapple Porch’s Christmas Writing Scripture 2017 | Writing the Word

Christmas Writing Scripture 2017 | The Pineapple Porch

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (#itreallyis #ilovechristmas)! I am so excited for this month’s Christmas Writing Scripture I can barely stand it! There are so many beautiful, beautiful things we will discover as we write the Word this month. Although you may have heard and read the Christmas story many times before, I pray we will be struck by the wonder, grace, and miracle of the birth of Christ afresh. Let’s pray that He reveals things in His Word we have never noticed before and that at the end of this month, we will be deeply changed because in this season we dwelled with our Savior, Jesus.

Although this is the busiest time of year for most of us, let’s also make a point to remember Jesus and commit our time to writing out the account of His birth. We owe it all to Him, yet He keeps giving. I know there will be so many gifts to receive as we abide in His Word this month!

Let every heart prepare Him room. Glory to God in the Highest!

(PS – Did you know that you can write the Word with your small group, family or friends? You can also join us in writing on social media by using the hashtag #writingtheword!)

Hi Danielle! I am excited to start the December writing plan, no better way to celebrate the season than to savor a piece of the story of our Savior’s birth each day.! I also bought the John Piper devotional based on your recommendation. I’m looking forward to a fresh Word from God through that daily time. Thank you for investing in this ministry, and have a joyous Christmas season!

What I am looking forward to the most this Christmas.. that is such a hard question. I love everything about Christmas, the lights , just the spirit of the season, the cold , Christmas movies, Christmas music; but the most would be being with family, the joy of watching people open presents & of course celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Yes! Isn’t this the best season?! It sounds like we love the same things about Christmas (which of course we do)! 🙂

As a person in my 50’s, I hope to see my family share in family times together and feel the conentment of knowing how much they are loved by my hubby and I. But also the love of Jesus, who desires the very best for them. May we always remember that Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection is the only reason we have to celebrate! Love to all of you at this Christmas Time!!
